Phillips Exeter Academy - is seeking a part-time (8 hrs/wk) Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner 

In consultation with the Health Services Medical Director and Director of Counseling & Psychologist Services, fully support the Health Center’s mission – to promote students’ development as healthy individuals and members of society.  Responsible for psychiatric evaluation and med management to students with physician supervision as needed.

• Diagnosing, treating and following-up direct referral. Consulting with and referring to physician and counselors as appropriate.
• Prescribing medication to students as needed.
• Working with individual students to increase appreciation of health and assumption of responsibility for their own health.
• Communicating with parents regarding the health status of their children.
• Communicating with faculty/administration as appropriate regarding student health-related issues, appropriate adjustments of students schedule, etc.
• Maintaining liaison with counseling team, with referrals as appropriate.

Requirements

• Must be licensed in the State of New Hampshire and hold National Certification as an ARNP or PA.
• 3 - 5 years’ experience treating adolescents or young adults (e.g. family practice, internal medicine, or pediatrics) preferred.
• Experience working with adolescents in an educational setting preferred.
