The Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) Department of Psychiatry is seeking a full-time faculty member with M.D., Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. and a strong record of research accomplishment in the areas of clinical neuroscience, health services delivery, and/or public sector psychiatry.  With anticipated appointment at the Associate Professor level, the candidate should have a successful and current record of federally-funded patient-oriented research and substantial experience in mentoring trainees in research and clinical settings. A competitive salary and robust startup funding will be made available. The position will be affiliated with an extensive clinical research program, and research experience with serious mental disorders such as schizophrenia, major depression and bipolar disorder is desirable. Candidates who have completed clinical training in psychiatry or psychology are encouraged to apply. The candidate is expected to maintain external research funding and to build collaborations with faculty members at BIDMC and the broader Harvard Medical School (HMS) research community. The Department of Psychiatry is a major teaching site for HMS and both the BIDMC Psychiatry Residency, Psychology Internship, Neuropsychology Fellowship, Neuropsychiatry Fellowship and Consultation Liaison Fellowship Programs. The position will include opportunities for teaching medical students, post-doctoral fellows and other trainees.
